When Spring Pops Up
Coo's of turtle doves
Outside my window pane
A cold February morning
I hear chirping birds again

On my kitchen table
My poinsettia sits in fullest bloom
left from before Christmas
By my tree in the living room

February dwindles down
March is on the way
Little indications prove
Spring will arrive one sunny day

We feel in the final countdown
Two seasons duel it out
We know that Winter will be the loser
When Spring pops up and sprouts
