I remember that old sofa
In the house where we lived
The fun we use to have
Growing up as kids
It was our trampoline
When Momma left the room
It was the funnest thing
When she didn't come back too soon
It held us when we giggled
As we sat and watched tv
Or as we sat in silence
During some spine tingling mystery
It often was a sick bed
While in the midst of colds or flu
Or for stretching out upon
When there wasn't much to do
I remember that old sofa
In the house where we lived
The fun we use to have
Growing up as kids
