Summer is the time That lives in our hearts
There is robins and flowers And picnics in the park
It is the time of year We wait for the most
We wear our Summer clothes And get rid of those coats.
Mother Nature fills her trees With leaves of green
High on the branches Birds whistle and sing
Gentle breezes whip And then whirl around.
The sun nips our nose, And turns us golden brown.
The days last so long, Leaving hours for fun.
We listen to the crickets And watch the setting sun
The stars shimmer bright Way up in the sky
While lightening bugs by the dozen Drift silently by
Yes Summer, the time to take notice Of things in life
The time to enjoy Mother Nature And forget our strife
Time to spend with our Family and friends
Enjoying those delights That Mother Nature sends
