Summer arrived today

I ran outside to jump and play

School is finally out

I'm gonna have a field day

Summer will last so long

I am invincible and strong

Rainy days won't matter at all

I'll still be happily singing songs

Oh, what a silly me

That was over fifty Summers ago

Now I notice the beauty in the singing birds

And the swaying flowers that grow

Summer is different

From the ones of long ago

I'm not young and invincible

I find I'm just a reminiscing old soul
