So often I wonder

What I would do

If there was a knock at the door

And it was you

I wished you had never went

And I wanted you back

But over the years

My wishes became sidetracked

I lived on my dreams

Where we were happily in love

But they diminished over time

Something I had no charge of

Still after all these years

The reason you left
