Sassy was a lady ghost
A lovely spirit in the sky
She always kept an eye on things
From her observation post on high
She left there only once a year
To kind of have some fun
Halloween night the only time
Kids wouldn't get scared and run
She zoomed around the neighborhood
In her crisp clean sheet of white
Holding her bag wide opened
To get those sweet delights
All the scarey little kids
Never knew at all
That a real ghost was at their sides
Or an ambulance would have to be called
She would line up with the kids
Single file out to the street
Everytime she got some candy
She would scream out trick or treat
They would laugh and giggle
And have a good ole blast
Every year she patiently waited
For Halloween night at last
Sadly, all too soon
Her special night would come to an end
She would wave bye to all the kids
Which were her bestest friends
Then way back up she flew
To her post in the night time sky
With a years supply of candy
And a twinkle in those ghostly eyes
