On a sandy seashore In a seaside town A drunken sea captain Falls to the ground
He gave up the sea For his sweet lady fair She wore silken dresses And flowers in her hair
He had finally found This love of his life Such a beautiful maiden To become his wife
He loved her elegance Her beautfy so rare He saw through to her soul In the moments they shared
Tonight they will marry At the church in the town As the ceremony begins She can't be found
He stumbles to the shore By the side of the sea His heart shattered and broken He falls to his knees
As he lays on the ground The rolling tides crash in Taking a drunken sea captain To be buried with his gin
In a watery filled grave With his first love the sea Now together forever They will always be
Some people say You can see his ghostly face As he searches for his love In this haunting place
