In only twenty minutes
The lovers shall come and sit
Unaware of their surroundings
In this shortness that time permits

In the hustle and the bustle
As people scurry all around
The lovers try to hide their passion
And not be the talk of their whole town

Deep within each others eyes
They know they have obligations to keep
Neither can leave their spouse or children
Inside they silently weep

Deep within a lovers trance
They entwine inside their minds
They know they can't touch each other
They keep the silence buried inside

They feel the love of their families
The ones that mean the most
They know they cannot speak
So they make a simple toast

Their time is up so quickly
They rise to leave the scene
Their eyes shout out I love you
And so ends this lovers routine
